Prince Peanut Butter and Princess Jelly

Prince Peanut Butter and Princess Jelly

So I finished this at 5 until 12 and then I was trying to edit it to say that I sent it in on time and then I actually deleted it. IDK. Anyway I personified peanut butter and jelly as royalty. True love aw yeah.

Peanut Butter

It started with a dress.

I bought a dress online for a special occasion. When the package arrived, the store had inserted a catalog of their latest stock. It’s been sitting on my desk with pages of stuff I would never buy. The pictured teenaged models looked like they’ve never ever enjoyed a Reese’s just to be able to wear these tacky graphic tee’s printed with the names of One Direction.

So I cut up that damn magazine.

Is is about the Reese’s? Body Image? Or perhaps what you would do for the taste of peanut butter?

Comprised of found images, painted and color levels edited in Photoshop.

P.S. This is my most aggressive statement I think I’ve ever written.

try ALL the kinds!

For this month’s prompt I decided to draw on my love of hand-lettering and cheesy 50s advertising. The funny thing is, the package design project (for miniature gluten-free pies!) I’m working on in my branding class right now is actually pretty aesthetically similar to this, so either I have no ideas or I’m doing a decent  job using my school assignments to produce the work I’d want to create anyway.

Drawn in pen during an Adventure Time marathon and digitized and colored through the magic of Photoshop.

I decided to get this month’s done a little earlier, so I didn’t have the stress of worrying about it at the last second. This drawing was inspired when I accidentally didn’t cross the second “t” in “Butter.” And hey, did you notice that I glossed over the implications of murder and cannibalism by drawing anthropomorphic nuts with WACKY expressions?! Also, in this Universe, even though I didn’t draw him, Watson is a walnut.

(Oh, and this whole thing was sketched in pencil then done up in Adobe Illustrator).

First character in my samurai/hacker series. (Hey, it could happen ><) Now to work on the January prompt….

January

1 Jan

Hello all!  Happy New Year to you and I hope your holidays were lovely.  So:

By the dictation of the gods and the 3 Balderdash cards I drew tonight that all mentioned our prompt for this month, I declare the theme for January to be Peanut Butter.  Take that in whatever sense you will and have at it!
